Monin this week announced their 12 semi-finalists from around the country in the first annual Australian Monin Cup. With a mix of experienced and rookie bartenders, we expect the competition will be fierce — you can check out the full list below.
They’ll be gathering in Sydney on August 25 for a big day of competition. The 12 semi-finalists will compete during the day for one of three spots in the final, to be held that night at Brydon’s Stadium at the University of Sydney. The 12 will need to shine in the knockout round to make it through, with their palates, classic cocktail ability, and their signature serve all being tested.
Those three bartenders who come on top will advance to the final — and you can get along to support them. With the event starting at 6:30pm on Monday the 25th of August, Monin is offering “drinks, food, and lots of fun entertainment,” they said. You’ll watch the three finalists mix up their signature drink and take on a mystery round, and once we have our winner — well, they’ve got free buses to whisk you to the big official after party at Sweethearts’s Rooftop so the celebrations can continue.
