From the moment that Sydney Bar Week 2014 ended (well, a couple of weeks and one large hangover later) we’ve been hard at work planning out the celebrations for Bar Week 2015.
Mark your diaries people: Sydney Bar Week 2015 will be on from Saturday the 19th of September through to Tuesday the 22nd of September.
Building on the success of last year’s workshops, this year sees the return of the Business of Bars Conference. This is where throughout the day on Monday the 21st of September, you’ll hear from the best bar operators and industry leaders about what it takes to run a successful bar business. Stay tuned for speakers and more information.
We’re also pretty excited to be holding our Indie Tasting. We’ll be showcasing some hard to find — but delicious — booze, along with the best of what’s limited, boutique, and handcrafted. there’ll be intimate masterclasses, tasting tables and some good pizza — the Indie Tasting will be held at Frankie’s Pizza on Tuesday the 22nd of September.
The Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards will of course be back in 2015 — the big awards dinner to end Bar Week will take place at night on Tuesday the 22nd of September. Last year’s event was a sellout, so when tickets go on sale make sure you get yours quick.
We’ve also got another couple of big announcements to make in the coming months — make sure you clear your schedules for September.
