The Spirited Awards have announced the final four for this year’s awards, and there’s a few Australians in the mix for the big gongs when the awards are held in New Orleans in July next month.

Eau de Vie Melbourne is nominated in the final four of the Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar category; fellow Melbourne bar, Black Pearl, has been nominated in the top four once again for Best International Bar Team.

Sydney’s The Baxter Inn also received a spot on the list, with a nod for World’s Best Spirits Selection.

Expat Australians Iain Griffiths (Dandelion, White Lyan, UK) and Naren Young (Dante, NYC) are in the mix for International Bartender of the Year and American Bartender of the Year respectively, whilst Young’s bar Dante getting a nod for Best New American Cocktail Bar. Sam Ross, creator of — among other drinks — the Penicillin, and co-owner of New York bar, Attaboy, has seen his bar team nominated in the final four for Best American Bar Team.

Lastly, we’re thrilled to say to Australian Bartender has made it through to the final four in the Best Cocktail & Spirits Publication category.
