Oxford Street has recently welcomed the new Japanese restaurant and party bar Kissuu. Spearheaded by ex-Nobu chef Adam Burke in collaboration with music curator and DJ Richy Penny, the all-in-one venue is open till late for dinner and disco Tuesday through Sunday.

Hunger Group has been responsible for bringing together the restaurant’s team of young entrepreneurs and creatives to conceptualise the new venue which will add to Sydney’s late-night dining and drinking scene. The intimate two-level venue was designed with good times in mind, where guests can dine downstairs on fresh, flavour-packed Japanese food and then ascend the stairs to find the vibrant lounge and DJ booth.

The downstairs 40-seat restaurant is the ideal place to kick off your night with the Japanese menu utilising fresh ingredients to make fun, delicious and creative dishes that celebrate local Japanese heritage and cuisine. The menu is designed to be shared and is the style of food that perfectly compliments a fun night out.

The upstairs music and disco scene is an opportunity for guests to enjoy a range of Sydney’s finest DJ’s that play almost every night. Guests can expect the kind of classics and funked-up edits of Diana Ross, the Gibson Brothers and Candi Station that would have been heard out at Studio 54.

Later into the evening, and as the vibes naturally start to escalate the space will evolve into a Disco House. The party takes place upstairs in a futuristic room, with red neon trim that illuminates the walls and is the perfect environment to get people dancing and moving their bodies.

Monthly Sunday brunch parties will also be available as Kissuu continues to expand beyond its four walls.
