Pinchy’s is closing its doors at 200 Bourke Street, Melbourne, ending a six-year run, with the final day of service on 20 July. Known best for its signature lobster rolls, seafood share plates, and soft pink details, Pinchy’s launched with a pop-up in 2019 before evolving into one of the city’s most distinct venues.
Co-founders Samara and Jeremy Schinck confirmed the closure was driven by economic strain, rising operating costs, high CBD rent and a post-COVID recovery that never quite landed.
“Making the call to close has been incredibly emotional. This winter made it clear the model wasn’t sustainable. We’re proud of what we built, and grateful for the memories,” the couple said.
The team are inviting loyal guests back in for the next three weeks for one last sip and a final farewell.
