The wait is over! Finalists for the 2010 Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards have been decided after tallying a record number of trade votes. With voting up 27 per cent from 2009, this year’s awards are set to be the biggest to date. You can check out the seven finalists for each category on the BarShow website here.
2010 also includes three all new awards – Best Marketed Venue, Rookie of the Year and Best New Launched Product. Each one of these awards were very well received indeed with hundreds of nominations being made for each category.
The full list of finalists will also be listed in July’s Australian Bartender magazine – out 9 July – with winners being announced at the Australian Bar Awards gala dinner to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Sydney on Wednesday 22 September, 2010.

One thing to take into account is that these awards are based on how venues/professionals performed from June 2009 to May 2010 rather than today’s line up as such – though the current team too is hardly shaby!
