Ben Tua wins the Magnificent 7 Competition

Ben Tua celebrates his victory

Last night saw the culmination of the Mixxit, Magnificent 7 Competition final with a sensational showdown between some of the nation’s finest bartending talent. With true cocktail history in mind the final took place on World Cocktail Day at the prestigious Sydney venue – ivy.

Throughout the night, seven talented bartenders battled it out on stage in an attempt to win an all expenses paid trip to New York that includes the opportunity to attend one of the world’s most prominent and professional bartending courses – the B.A.R course.

With an impressive line-up of judges on the night to help sort out the cocktail pros the competition was tight and full on for all involved. In the end, Ben Tua from Mint Nightclub in Perth took out the top spot and he looked proud as the punch he made when handed the winners ticket.

Well done to all the finalists involved – and a great job by the Mixxit team throughout the year with their training program.
