Here comes something a little different from the Wild Turkey family. The latest release, Wild Turkey Forgiven, came about by way of accident when workers in the Wild Turkey distillery mixed up batches of very rare and high-proof rye with bourbon. Luckily, associate master distiller Eddie Russell recognised that the result was a great whiskey and put limited quantities of the stuff out into the market.
It’s a mix of 78 per cent six year old bourbon and 22 per cent four year old rye, offering something for both rye drinkers and bourbon drinkers. It offers up flavours of vanilla and oak and a peppery cinnamon-like finish.
There’s only limited supply available, so to find out more visit WildTurkeyBourbon.com.au or get in touch with your Campari representative.
