Woolshed
7 Market Place, Manly
Manly has come a long way, hasn’t it?
For a place where, once upon a time, going out meant getting belted on the beers (and then belted by someone on the street), the area is home to a swathe of good drinking these days.
One of those bastions is Donny’s, and now there’s a new place from the team behind it: Woolshed.
Billed as an espresso bar by day, and a beer and whiskey bar by night, Woolshed boasts lots of wood and a Manhattan Lower East Side feel.
“Most of the materials are straight off the farm; corrugated iron off the woolshed roof, sleeper wood off an old railway track and wood paneling off the side of our early 1900’s shearers quarters,” said Woolshed’s owner, Matt Clifton.
There will be, just like Donny’s, some great food to be had at the bar, as well as live music and great drinks.
