New Townsville bar, Hooch & Fellow is expected to open in July — and there’s good reason to be excited.
The owner is bartender Josh Agostino, the former cocktail guru for Townsville’s Heritage (which took out the inaugural Regional Bar of the Year award back in 2013).
After some seven years running the Heritage Bar, Agostina is striking out on his own.
“I have decided to go it alone and challenge the regional expectation of what a bar is,” Agostino told Australian Bartender. “Hooch & Fellow will be Townsville’s first specialty cocktail bar operating on a Small Bar Licence.
“Accommodating 50 people, we will feature a rotating cocktail list and a small beer and wine selection that will change regularly, providing guests with a unique experience upon each visit.”
If his previous form is anything to go by, we’re looking forward to seeing what Agostina comes up with in Townsville.
