We brought you the news last month that new Sydney bar NOLA Smokehouse & Bar would be opening, and you know what? They’ve now been open for one week.
The bar, which resides in Sydney’s Barangaroo precinct and has harbour views looking west, focuses “on smoked meats, American whiskey, wine, live music and southern hospitality,” according to Sydney hospitality veteran, Mikee Collins, who is working on the project.
They’ve also got upwards of 450 American whiskeys with aims for 1000 bottles-strong back bar. The restaurant and bar is the second venue for owner Peter Fischer, who also owns the similarly New Orleans-inspired small bar, The Swinging Cat, in the Sydney CBD.
They’re trading seven days, between 4pm and 1am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and from 11:45am on Fridays. Come Sundays, the bar will venue at 11:45am and close at 10pm.
You can visit them at T1.13 100 Barangaroo Ave, Barangaroo South, Sydney and head to their website at nolasydney.com.au. Take a look inside the bar below.
