Gold Coast’s cocktail scene is on the rise with an intimately exclusive bar opening in Main Beach.
With minimal signage and a discrete entrance designed to lure in a more sophisticated guest, Bar Riva is a welcome addition to South-east Queensland’s bar scene with the intention of hosting world-renowned craft bartenders and artisan mixologists.
With a fit out of $500,000, the venue is designed as a destination bar for a night out, or an up-market venue for work drinks and private functions. There’s a kitchen with capabilities of serving a small tapas menu to enjoy with speciality drinks.
After ascending the staircase, guests will be greeted to an opulent layout with rich details and exquisite gold finishing. The seating will be fitted in dark mauve and emerald green velvet fabric to create a high-end environment. The interior design has drawn inspiration from artist, Marcel Wanders (check out his work here).
Currently coined as a ‘backwards bar’ concept, Bar Riva is ready to go and welcoming an operator. There’s options for a partner in a joint venture or to lease the premise – ideally someone with extensive experience in hospitality and cocktail/bar management that can bring in something new.
Launching this Spring, Bar Riva is the first licensed small bar approved on Tedder Avenue and set to revitalise the bar and restaurant scene on the strip.
