Slated to open in mid-October, Kurtis has revealed his plans for a brand new venue. “It’s located Level 1 in Dee Why (two doors up from Corretto) and will be called Ullo Pizza & Wine,” says Kurtis. “I’ve brought onboard Josefa Rakuro (ex. Rockpool, Ruse Bar & Dining) who will head up the kitchen with Enrico Scarbossa (Winner – Giro Pizza Di Europe – Best Italian Pizza) to ensure we’re pushing out some incredible pizzas while Dan Ashby will run the venue/drinks program.”

Also, look out for Kurtis’ brand new drinks company @bottledbybloc which is launching on 1 September. Kurtis says he started this bottled cocktail brand to bring bartender quality cocktails to people at home, but to also service the northern beaches venues access to ready-made award-winning cocktails.

“There is space in the new venue where we can batch/bottle/prep for the venue while also running a bulk wholesale operation that services the Northern Beaches venues that don’t have cocktail programs,” says Kurtis. “Essentially venues can email me (kurtis@oihospitality.com), we build a cocktail offering, the team in the lab does weekly runs of orders then we deliver them in large bladders to our custom batch containers in venues.”
