Moondog Craft Brewery has opened its fifth Melbourne venue, Moondog Beach Club, in Frankston, Melbourne. Following the recent launch of their Wild West venue, the brewery has taken over a beachfront location and transformed it into a tropical bar.
Moondog CEO and co-founder, Josh Uijans, says, “We want Moondog Beach Club to be somewhere people can go to spend time with their mates and leave their worries at the door.”
The 2000 square metre venue has a foliage-lined entry, which leads to a sprawling space featuring four bars, cabana huts, and “plenty of hidden areas to explore”. There are hammocks on the balcony beer garden, towering palm trees, festoon lighting, and live DJ sets on the main stage.
Moondog Beach Club serves an array of signature Moondog beers, seltzers, and ready-to-drink options, alongside wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages. Cocktails are served with compulsory umbrellas, while alcoholic buckets, “boozy” slushies, and shots are also on offer.
The food menu features a range of surf and turf options, as well as pub classics such as fish and chips, burgers, seafood towers, and a selection of entrees.
Uijans adds, “We can’t wait for bayside and beachside Melbournians to get closer to the Moondog experience.”
