Australia’s most exciting bartender competition is returning for 2026, and this year, it’s all about the glamour and creativity of the swinging 60s! The Vero Bartender 2026 invites professional bartenders from across the country to showcase their mixology skills and put their own twist on the era of style, music, and unforgettable cocktails.
Entries are now open and will close 1 December 2025. To enter, bartenders are asked to submit one original cocktail featuring a minimum of 30ml Amaro Montenegro, with a maximum of five ingredients (excluding garnish). All entries must be submitted via theverobartender.com.
The stakes are high, with the Grand Prize offering a truly unforgettable experience: a week-long journey through Bologna, Italy exploring world-class bars, Italian mixology, along with exclusive brand opportunities throughout the year; valued at €6,000.
The competition unfolds in stages:
- Entries: Now – 1 December 2025
- National Finalists announced: January 2026
- Australian National Final (Sydney): February 2026
- Global Final (Bologna, Italy): May 2026
Entrants must hold a valid passport and be available to travel to Italy in May 2026 if they are selected as the National Winner.
