Samuel Cocks (Bar Rogue, WA), Sarah Proietti (Maybe Sammy, NSW), Nick Tesar (Bar Liberty, VIC), Eduardo Conde (No.92 GPR, NSW) and Kayla Saito (Black Pearl, VIC) have been selected from hundreds of hospitality superstars across the country vying for the crown of the 2022 Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year.

Evan Stroeve from Sydney’s acclaimed South Eveleigh bar, Re, has claimed a coveted Top 10 spot at this year’s World Class Bartender of the Year global finals, taking place virtually and being hosted in London this week.
Evan Stroeve from RE, the Australian World Class Bartender of the Year, will go on to represent Australia virtually in the global World Class Bartender of the Year finals in July.
Evan Stroeve (RE, Sydney), Kayla Saito (Leonardo’s Pizza Palace, Melbourne) and David Aznar (Rosella’s, Gold Coast) were selected from hundreds of bartending superstars and will now compete in the Australian finals on Tuesday 27th April.
Diageo World Class Bartender of the Year returns in 2021, with entries to the Australian competition open from 1 January. The Australian winner will compete in the Global Finals, where a new World Class Global Bartender of the Year will be crowned in a unique multi-format event hosted in Madrid, Spain from 5-8th July 2021.

From three rounds of competition and nine state finals did ten bartenders – strong of nerve and sure of skill – emerge to take on the World Class Australian final.
