New Chartreuse expected to drop in March

Chartreuse

For the first time in some 19 years, Australia is going to see an extension of the Chartreuse family of liqueurs with the addition of three new products. Joining the Chartreuse Green and Chartreuse Yellow expressions is the Chartreuse “MOF” Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Sommeliers, a 45% ABV liqueur created in 2007. It’s a collaboration between the Chartreuse monks and  France’s best sommeliers. It will be available from March.

We’ll also be seeing both the Green and Yellow expressions of the Chartreuse V.E.P (Vieillissement Exceptionnellement Prolonge). This is the result of a small, top quality portion of each batch of Green and Yellow Chartreuse that the monks determine suitable for laying away to age in the cellars. There’s only 10,000 bottles of the VEP produced each year, so make sure you get on to them quickly — they’re also available come March.
