In the lead up to this year’s national finals for the BACARDÍ Legacy Global Cocktail Competition, BACARDÍ are stirring up excitement by collaborating with award winning Melbourne bar, Black Pearl from the 25th February to 3rd March. The partnership will see Black Pearl create an all Bacardi cocktail list inspired by the Bacardi Family’s 150 year history.
Recognised amongst the 50 best bars in the world and home to last year’s national Legacy winner, Fred Siggins, the Pearl has a special place in the heart of the BACARDÍ family.
Tash Conte, owner of Black Pearl, describes the collaboration as a family affair:
“Over the past 13 years, we have been working relentlessly to create premium cocktails and that’s achieved by working with the best. BACARDÍ has a heritage we’re proud to align with, particularly given our shared value of family; one that is integral to how we work at the Pearl”.
Known for their beautifully crafted cocktails, the award winning bar team will create five Black Pearl inspired BACARDÍ cocktails to compliment five BACARDÍ classics that will feature on the Black Pearl menu board for the week.
Black Pearl will also play a significant role in this year’s Legacy competition by playing host to the training and advocacy programs, where bartenders will have the opportunity to meet and engage with BACARDÍ Master Blender Jose Sanchez Gavito and family member and Global Brand Manager Enrique Comas.
“Since the Club di Cantineros in the early 1900’s BACARDI has wanted to work with the best Bartenders to create the best drinking experiences. In more recent years the Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition has strengthened this partnership. We’re now delighted to work with Melbourne’s bartenders bar and take this to a new level”, Andy Wren – Bacardi Brand Ambassador.
The Black Pearl x BACARDÍ cocktail curation activation will kick off this Wednesday, 25th Feb, from 5pm.
