The Long Goodbye
1/83 Stanley Street, Darlinghurst
The Long Goodbye is a new Sydney bar that has taken up residence on the site where The Hazy Rose once held sway.
Owned by bar manager Flynn McLennan — who we last saw at Uncle Ming’s — and Dennis Jen, the bar pulls some inspiration from the Raymond Chandler novel of the same name, and is decked out with moody vintage pieces, antiques, leather lounges and candelabras.
Many of the cocktails employ house-made ingredients, like a strawberry balsamic vinegar shrub, and each Thursday they’ve got live jazz and blues on offer.
