Don’t miss these talks when Indie Spirits Tasting rolls into Melbourne next Month


 

Yep, finally. Indie Spirits Tasting is making its Melbourne debut on March 31 at The Craft & Co. in Collingwood. Click here to buy your tickets now. The event, which is in its fifth year and is staged in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney features over 40 exhibitors showcasing more than 150 craft spirits, with master distillers on hand to discuss their brand and snacks included with the ticket price.

The Indie Spirits Tasting seminars have been a big hit for those who are keen to delve a little deeper into the world of craft spirits. It’s first-in, best-dressed so get in early for your chance to see the following talks in Melbourne:

SESSION 1

1pm – 1.30pm – Distilling 101

2pm – 2.30pm – Amaro: a little bit of bitter makes your drinking better

Amari. They’re the Italian-inspired spirits that are making their way around the world, and Aussie distillers are adapting them to suit local ingredients; find out why a little bit of bitterness makes flavour pop, where these bitter aperitif drinks came from and more.

SESSION 2

4pm – 4.30pm – Sustainability – the ethics of buying artisanal

Small is beautiful, right? You want craft, you want rare, and you’ll pay top dollar to get it — but where does the money go? Does making spirits the traditional way mean ruling out development? Is the spirits industry destroying the environment?

5pm – 5.30pm – Distilling 101

This year for the Melbourne event we will be offering two sessions so we can make this busy event more comfortable and allow attendees greater access to exhibitors. Please choose your preferred session at checkout. Session timings are: Session 1 is 12pm – 2.30pm & Session 2 is 3pm – 5.30pm

EARLY BIRD TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW FOR JUST $35 (plus booking fee). Standard ticket price is $55 so it’s a great deal to get in early. Tickets include all the samples, snacks and access to the seminars (first-in, best dressed).
