A drinks encyclopedia, Angus Winchester has 34 years of hospo experience from drink-making to running bars, working for the likes of Diageo as Tanqueray Global brand ambassador and now as the Global Education Director for BCB (Berlin, Brooklyn, Sao Paolo & Singapore).

This event is for any serious hospitality industry professionals who want to learn a bit from one of the best in the business, catch him for one session only on Wednesday, 23rd November (1pm -3pm) at the Australian Bar Awards Distillery Bar of the Year, Hickson House Distilling Co.

So what will Angus be talking about?

“To try and distil 34 years of hospitality experience at the highest levels into one grand unifying theory would be a ridiculous undertaking but Angus has done just that. Now being back in full-time shift running operations has meant an opportunity to synthesise an easy-to-understand yet hugely complex methodology to create amazing guest experiences and also a thrilling work environment. Come and hear how and what and why Kinetic Hospitality is the art and science of making good things happen.”

Angus will also be slinging tins on Tuesday, 22nd November at Piccolo Bar (6 Roslyn Street, Kings Cross) from 8pm, so if you want to see a master in action, make sure you pop in and say hi.

David Spanton, Australian Bartender magazine founder and owner of Piccolo Bar says: “Angus is no stranger to our shores. He was our special international guest from as early as 2004 with events like Sydney, Melbourne & Auckland BarShows as well as being a regular writer for Bartender magazine. He introduced us to Tiki drinks and the Rum Club back in the day and took us for some of the first deep dives into Gin and the art of customer service. It’s fair to say Angus has seen it all and is, in my opinion, one of the world’s leading bar personalities. We are very fortunate to have him back out for this one-off masterclass and bar takeover.”
