After a series of multi-million dollar renovations, Sydney’s 5-star Swissotel has revealed their new lobby bar Arches on Market, nestled above the bustling CBD.

Located on Level 8, Arches is reminiscent of the grand palm court bars of the past where people would come together to dine, drink and relax. The bar’s interior is heavily influenced by the 1930s era, with its scalloped entry awning, marble bar and detailed glass pendant lights. Bespoke booths, bar stools, relaxed lounge seating and dining along the windows offer a variety of dining styles. Custom illustrations by NYC artist Eliza Fedewicz adorn menus and coasters, adding an old-world Euro charm.

The menu has been designed by award-winning Executive Chef John Giovani Pugliano, offering contemporary interpretations of classic bar snacks. Petite Finger Sandwiches, Arches Prawn Cocktail and Maison Pork Terrine can all be found on the finger food menu offering. For those diners looking for something more extravagant, the Sturia Caviar Oscietra or signature Mandarin Cheesecake also feature on the menu.

The cocktail menu has been curated by co-founder of the Antipodean Hospitality Company Aaron Shuttleworth. A refined offering of classic cocktails such as The Spring Club Sour, Swiss Cobbler and New Fashioned will have you calling in for a second, whilst the signature Arches Martini is served straight from the freezer and garnished as you please. The Arches wine list has an Australian focus with a mix of staple high-quality producers, as well as the Coravin list allowing a more exclusive and premium wine offering by the glass such as the Cullen ‘Diana Madeline’.

Hotel guests can also enjoy the newly refurbished rooftop pool deck that has been designed as a hidden sanctuary in the middle of the CBD. The urban oasis that has been created reflects the subtropical climate of Sydney and is inspired by long, hot European summers. Refreshing cocktails can be enjoyed poolside on stylish cabanas, plush day beds or booths.

Hotel guests and members of the public are invited to enjoy the nostalgic glamour with contemporary indulgence every day of the week from 12pm till late.
