Toasties, martinis and midnight negronis: Ravenspur extends its late-night offering

Ravenspur is giving Newtown’s late-night crowd another reason to stay a little longer, launching a new toasted sandwich menu designed to sit alongside Ravenspur’s drinks program – available until 2am every night or until sold out.

Known for its dark spirits, whisky-heavy back bar and cocktail-focused offering, the Enmore Road venue has introduced a trio of toasted sandwiches designed to complement late-night drinking sessions. The menu includes a house-made Reuben filled with pastrami, sauerkraut, vintage cheddar and secret sauce, alongside classic Ham, Cheese & Tomato and Cheese & Tomato options. Each sandwich is served with potato crisps and a large pickle on the side.

The new food offering is aimed at hospitality workers finishing late shifts, cocktail drinkers settling in for another round and anyone looking for something substantial after most Sydney kitchens have closed.

“Our goal has always been to create a venue that feels alive late into the night,” says Ravenspur Director Taran Howard. “Great cocktails deserve great food, and sometimes all you want at 1am is a proper toasted sandwich, a cold pickle, and a strong drink.”

The menu has been designed to complement Ravenspur’s drinks program, whether guests are pairing a Reuben with a Martini, working through the venue’s extensive whisky collection, ordering a Whisky Sour after midnight, or chasing one of the bar’s signature picklebacks.

Located in the heart of Newtown, Ravenspur combines Southern Gothic influences with the feel of a Western saloon, creating a venue that leans into after-dark hospitality. While many kitchens close early, the bar is positioning itself as a destination for those looking to continue the night with both food and drinks.

“When the lights get low and the city’s kitchens start shutting down, Ravenspur is just getting comfortable,” Howard says.

The late-night “toasties” menu is available nightly until 2am or until sold out at Ravenspur, 51 Enmore Road, Newtown.
