Tiki drinks and all things rum are the catch of the day at this new bar anchored in Redfern (that’s probably enough for the nautical references for one story).
Owner Peter Groom is serving up drinks like his Grog Zombie, a mix of homemade oak-aged spiced rum and tropical fruits, but also less identifiably tiki drinks like an Old Fashioned. See, even pirates want to be like Don Draper.
There’s an array of local craft brews both on tap and in the bottle (the nearby brewers Young Henry’s make an appearance) and plenty of Italian pizza (Italian pirates being notorious for their love of good pizza). OK, we made that last part up.
