It’s been sipped on Entourage and viewed by many millions of fans in the US. Now Australia is just the fifth market to get its hand on this ultra premium, smooth sipping tequila, Tequila Avión.
It had its official launch at the Ivy Penthouse, and it gives you an insight into where the brand is pitching: high class pole dancers, gourmet margarita riffs and a tequila take on the Aviation mean that this is going high end.
Tequila Avión Silver was awarded the prize of world’s best tasting tequila and best unaged white spirit at the 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. They use agaves grown at over 7,000 feet above sea level — resulting in a sweeter style of agave — and the pinas are slow-roasted in brick ovens for 72 hours.
The range being distributed by Pernod Ricard includes the Silver, Reposado, Anejo, and Avión Espresso.
