Gruppo Campari has bolstered its offering of Italian spirits and liqueurs with the acquisition of Fratelli Averna, a spokesperson said.

The Italian company, which has iconic Italian brands Campari, Aperol, and Frangelico to name just a few, will add not to their portfolio not just Amaro Averna but also Amrao Braulio, Limoncetta and Grappa Frattina.

Amaro Averna is the second-highest selling bitter in Italy.

Amaro Braulio is an alpine-style bitter amaro popular in the northern region of Italy, and is one of the few amari seen in bars around Australia. Grappa Frattina offers Gruppo Campari their first foray into the grappa market, a spokesperson said.
