Hailed as one of the most prestigious distilleries and wineries in Sardinia, Silvio Carta takes connoisseurs on a voyage to the idyllic island through its creations, allowing them to discover the fascinating liquor-making customs there. Alberto Mason, the grandson and producer of the eponymous distiller Silvio Carta, will embark on a grand tour of top cocktail venues in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth between 8 and 18 July.
The tour will kick off at Australia’s Best Gin bar, The Barber Shop in Sydney on 8 July, with a “Spirits & Cocktails Tasting” trade event. Enjoy some canapes while Alberto will join award-winning Bar Manager Cristiano Beretta and his mixologist team to serve a list of Silvio Carta themed cocktails.
Then the tour will travel to an authentic Italian laneway bar, Bar Carlo in Melbourne with a “Cocktail Pairing Apericena” consumer event on 10 July and a trade-exclusive “Spirits & Liqueurs Masterclass” on 11 July. Both events will explore the ethos of the Carta family’s production, “armonia della natura” (harmony in nature) through tasting the range of their boutique liqueurs and gins.
Next up is a trade special tasting event, “Laneway Liquor with Silvio Carta” at the cocktail bar, Bar Torino in Adelaide on 15 July. We finalise the grand tour in Perth, with a showcase of the portfolio at the lndie Spirits Tasting on 17 July.
