Chris Tilley from Neon Palms, WA has taken out the No.1 spot for the first Tilde Raw Vodka Cocktail Competition with his innovative creation that celebrated all that is weird and wonderful.

Inspired by Hunter Thompson’s famous quote, “When the going gets weird, the weird turns pro.” Chris’s winning drink was a contemporary twist on a gimlet combining flavours such as mango, cacao and tea.

40ml Tannin Infused Tilde Vodka
10ml Oscar Bianco
22.5ml Mango, Coconut & Salted Cacao (grippy sock) cordial
2 Dashes Reagan Orange Bitters
Flashback by Maxime Burckel from Bennelong

Second runner up went to Maxime Burckel, who Natalie has described as “a natural talent, someone to watch”. Hailing from Bennelong Bar, Maxime received a $500 gift card for his original tilde~ cocktail creation, Flashback which combined the unique flavours of beetroot, pineapple and mint together.

Special mentions for great in venue- activations went to Riley Landini from Darwin’s Hanky Panky Lounge and Loic Mouchelin from Sante Cocktail Bar in Queensland. Both bartenders will receive a $200 gift card and ongoing venue support to elevate drinking experiences, courtesy of tilde~.
