Get Involved
The timetable is already filling up with many of your favourite events from the folks at William Grant & Sons (can’t wait to see what they do for the House of William Grant this year), the team at The Blend (who always do something special for their members) and the brand ambassadors over at Bacardi Martini (will there be a luxury harbour cruise or a tiki party in 2023?). Updates to the timetable will go live from May this year.

There is still time to get involved and become a key sponsor of Sydney Bar Week 2023. If your brand is interested, reach out to david@spantonmedia.com. All sponsorship opportunities are exclusive to Bartender Magazine Advertisers.

Why Sydney Bar Week?
Sydney Bar Week is a must attend event for any serious hospitality professional. Martin Lange, owner, Cobbler, Savile Row & Death & Taxes, Brisbane said: “2022 had an incredible amount of amazing events for everyone to enjoy, from a glassy just starting in the industry to experienced operators. It was so good to see everyone again at the Bar Awards and the insane turnout! 680 hospitality legends under one roof! The event went so smooth, was incredibly organised and they went all out on the food/drink offering! It was an incredible night!”

Multi-award winning bar owners and operators, Michael and Zara Madrusan agreed, saying : “What a great night at the Bar Awards and a fabulous week. Sydney Bar Week is an important part of our industry down here in Melbourne and we were really grateful to be back in the room last night. Thanks for keeping it up.”

Bartender Magazine Bartender of the Year 2023 returns with a new format
For the past 22 years the Bartender Magazine Bartender of the Year Competition has been open to all Australian bartenders to enter and widely considered one of the most prestigious and difficult bartending competitions in Australia. This year, the competition will return with the same great sponsors, Monkey Shoulder & Hendrick’s but we have tweaked the formula slightly with the entire event taking place over one day (Monday, 11th September), with the finals being held before the prestigious House of William Grant Party. We are taking expressions of interest from bartenders now and there will be more information coming when official nominations open in March. But get set for a new take on one of the oldest comps in the country and a big prize on offer. Email amy@spantonmedia.com if you’re interested in competing.
