The Art of the Highball Masterclass @ The Toki Listening Bar, Sydney

Where old meets new Japan. Club Suntory takes you through Japan’s most iconic premium beverage c/o Toki Whisky.

 As House of Suntory’s Toki Whisky takes over one of Sydney’s newest rooftops, Joji, for a six-week residency, on Tuesday, 15th April, Club Suntory is bringing its members an informative deep dive into Japan’s most iconic drink, the whisky highball.

Showcasing the artistry of exceptional ‘Omotenashi’ service, Club Suntory are delighted to have ‘Monozukuri Master’ Wen Wang bring to life the key qualities and rituals when it comes to making the perfect Toki Highball. NSW/ACT Brand Specialist, Ella Jones will also reveal everything you need to know around the history of the highball, Japanese culture and education around the liquid components that make Toki, the premium blended whisky it is today.

If you can’t make the masterclass, until 27th April, Joji are working with Suntory to serve signature Toki highballs and cocktails including the citrusy Hekiso infused with a combination of Toki and Laphroaig 10-year-old, zingy yuzushu, ginger and honey; an Ichigo strawberry matcha cocktail with Haku Vodka and clarified yoghurt; and the Daiso San, a fragrant mix of Roku Gin, rhubarb sake, cherry plum and dry vermouth, all served alongside a wallet-friendly snack menu. Every Thursday, the rooftop will host live vinyl, the perfect excuse to book the night off and socialise.
