Bartender Magazine’s Most Influential List
The voting for the Bartender Magazine’s Top 50 Most Influential List has just wrapped up. The nominated Top 50 for 2011 will be released in Bartender’s upcoming March edition. The inaugural Most Influential List event took off in 2009 with Vernon Chalker (Gin Palace and Madame Brussels, Melbourne) taking out the top spot. “It was a great honour to win,” said Chalker recently, “the greatest form of flattery is if others look to my work for inspiration.”
With the huge success that was the 2009 Bartender Magazine Most Influential List, this biennial event is already underway in 2011. Take part and vote to WIN a Sydney BarShow Week Package valued at over $700.
After snaring Operator of the Year (multiple venues) at the Australian Bar Awards in September 2009 and then snatching the top spot in the inaugural Most Influential List in December, Bartender mag saw fit to catch up with this leading Aussie bar industry personality to search for the secret behind his success.
One of Australia’s favourite (and Most Influential!) bar personalities, Ms Alex Ross, has left Match Bar & Grill to work Mr Influential himself, Mr Vernon Chalker, at his venue, Order of Melbourne, kicking off next week.
