Open in time for the rush of festive season champagne sales is this new brasserie and bar in the Rocks. The bar is decked out in 1920s décor and inspired by the French Mediterranean and the eponymous pineapple (ananas being the French word for it). The bar will trade to 3am, meaning that the post-theatre and partygoer crowd will have a spot for a late night feed and nightcap (which the large population of nearby hospo workers will no doubt appreciate).

The art-deco interior was designed by Luchetti Krelle (responsible for the neighbouring Sake as well as Momofuku Seiobo). Pull up a pew at the pewter bar and ask the head bartender, Stephane Pigliapoco, for a drink: give the Regioni (Carpano Antica, Lillet Rose, Ricard, Burleque bitters) a go for a start.
