Beer is more important to Aussie bars than ever. Tippler’s Tap is testament to this – as manager Carl Rhodes describes it, Tippler’s “is a small neighbourhood bar with no pretense, no dress code and no crap beer.” Seems they’re clear about what they want to do with the place.
Having opened on September 1, they’ve got ten taps showcasing craft brews that change often – and we mean often. Check out their Facebook page and you’ll see the offerings changing every couple of days. The brews come from Australia as well as a heavy contingent from America – owner Brian Kennedy hails from Chicago after all. We hear Tippler’s is also where you’ll get the best damn Chicago-style dog going around (look for the telltale bright green pickle relish). As Rhodes puts it, “the idea behind Tippler’s is to provide a relaxed environment for craft beer enthusiasts to come along, drink some bad ass beers and enjoy the Chicago inspired food menu.”
