If you like supporting small brands and uncovering little known gems then the Indie Spirits Tasting is tailor-made for you. The Australian craft distilling industry is booming right now and a selection of the best local distilleries are coming to town to showcase their wares. You’ll be able to taste great stuff from brands like Mt Uncle Distillery from North Queensland. They produce a full back bar of spirits from gin to whiskey and even an award-winning SexyCat Marshmallow Liqueur. Australia’s very own vermouth, Maidenii, from Victoria will lead the charge with bringing back old world spirits with this collaboration between a local bartender and a French winemaker. Applewood Distillery, a tiny little operation from the Adelaide Hills will be offering samples of their gin and an aperitif called Okar. One of their neighbours in SA, the Adelaide Hills Distillery, another boutique operation, will be showcasing The Italian Bitter Orange Aperitif, The Gunnery Spiced Rum and 78? Gin. Melbourne Moonshine and Young Henry’s from Newtown in Sydney will also have their own brand of moonshines on show, giving punters a chance to sample this hot spirit category which was little-known in Australia just a few years ago.

And while Aussie spirits are booming, the Indie Spirits Tasting also caters for boutique brands from around the world with every spirit category covered – you can sample rums from Venezuela, Peruvian piscos, a fig liqueur, amaro, tequilas, mezcals, American Whiskeys and more.
