Rum festival Sugarcane Sunday is coming to Sydney in April

Noted rum fiend and passionate advocate for Hawaiian shirts, Tom Bulmer, in conjunction with The Rum Club Australia and Lost Luau, is bringing rum festival Sugarcane Sunday to Sydney this April.

On Sunday 8 April, you’ll be able to head down to Customs House Bar at Circular Quay and taste and buy some great rum from big brands and small.

“Sugarcane Sunday is a social afternoon for all lovers of the Caribbean lifestyle and all things rum,” says Bulmer. “This afternoon is all about having a great time in the Caribbean with good company and great rum.”

Think of this as a celebration of rum, Hawaiian shirts, and great tiki drinks courtesy of the Lost Luau team.

“From 1pm we will open a popup rum market in the park where you can taste and buy rum, Hawaiian shirts, tiki mugs and tropical apparel with all the major and minor rum companies while discussing rum’s culture, history and taste with other rum aficionados,” Bulmer says.

“The guys from Lost Luau will be running a tiki cocktail bar to try any of your favourites in a rum classic whether it’s a Daiquiri, Mai Tai or even a Pina Colada.
