The House of Angostura has opened up entries for its Global Cocktail Challenge as it begins the hunt for its new brand ambassador.
The winner of each region is awarded a local ambassadorship and the global title goes to the winner of the global comp in Trinidad. Historically bartenders from the ANZ region have been the ones to watch, having taken out the top prize four times out of nine.
Previous Australian winners include well-known bartenders Marco Nunes, Zdenek Kastanek, Andy Griffiths, Joe Sinagra, Mike Tomasic, James Irvine, Dan Gregory and from NZ, Ray Letoa who is the House of Angostura’s current global brand ambassador.
Ray says, “Being the global ambassador has been the gig of a lifetime. I’ve travelled the world, met some amazing people, made life-long friends and it’s certainly raised my profile across the globe.
“I’d say definitely enter if you love the Angostura brand, you enjoy being on the road, you like the limelight and you’ve got the banter down pat. It goes without saying that you need to be a decent bartender, but that’s not the end of it. You’ve got to want to put yourself out there. Winning will take you places that’s for sure!”
So, if you fancy joining the ranks of the House of Angostura champions, it’s time to act.
Watch Ray explain what you need to do and then go to https://angosturaglobalcocktailchallenge.com/how-to-enter/?country=australia to enter.
