World’s 50 Best announces extended list of 51 to 100 today!

The World’s 50 Best Bars has released its extended 51-100 list, presented in association with Mancino Vermouth, with London’s Scout at the top. Matt Whiley’s venue is focused on sustainability and locally sourced ingredients and has a sister venue in Sydney’s Surry Hills..

The US leads the 51-100 list with seven bars New York’s Death & Co at 89, The Dead Rabbit at 71 and Pacific Cocktail Haven in San Francisco a new entry at 74.

From a local standpoint, for Melbourne bars made the list. The Everleigh in Melbourne was a new entry and the highest Aussie bar in the 51 to 100 coming in at 73. Byrdi Melbourne came in at 80, Above Board at 84 and Black Pearl at 98. Great news for four of the city’s best bars who are just slowly creeping out of lockdown.

The announcement of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2020, sponsored by Perrier, follows on from the work of the 50 Best for Recovery programme, which has to date raised $1.25m for hospitality venues across the globe.
