It was great to see a bunch of new faces at the Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards this year. One such bar, was The Koutetsu in Newcastle, an intimate speakeasy style cocktail bar, serving up a vast range of spirits and tasty cocktails. Rick Tose reached out with one of his recipes, a classically styled drink featuring some of our favourites – rye whisky, Averna and Picon Biere.
