The team behind Gelato Messina have opened a new dining and drinks concept, Erin, located at 1 Rich St, Marrickville. A venue blending savoury dishes with Messina elements, experimental cocktails, and a laid-back dining atmosphere.
Rather than exclusive bookings with limited seats, Erin open’s its doors Thursday through Sunday, offering a mix of walk-ins and flexible reservations.
The cocktail list offers frozen-inspired drinks like a pepperoni-spiced Negroni, and a salted caramel espresso martini inspired by Messina’s popular Nicky Glasses flavour. A list of local beers and natural wines will also be available, including a limited white wine, Moo-Tang, developed with the Australian brand Doom Juice, which will also available to take home.
Patrons can expect fresh produce, from farm-to-table, a rotating à la carte menu and a six-course option, with each dish incorporating a frozen or gelato-based component.
