Jason Crawley and Dylan Howarth, the guys behind Sydney drinks and event business, The Drink Cabinet, are launching what they call Australia’s first Cocktail Store and School.
Opening on April 19 and located at 75 Mary Street St Peters, Sydney, the industry veterans will carry the vast majority of the popular BarGeek range, and a range of proper cocktail books of the kind that are hard to find in bricks and mortar stores.
In addition to the store, they’ve developed courses on cocktails and spirits for the home bartender.
“Prior to The Cocktail Store & School, it was impossible for consumers to get their hands on good quality cocktail making equipment and knowledge for their homes and parties,” said Crawley (whom you’ll find came in at number six on the 2015 Most Influential List sponsored by Angostura Aromatic Bitters).
“Getting access to face to face non-brand driven professional spirit and cocktail education and drink ideas does not exist, so this type of legit education will help Australians ‘drink better’,” he said.
It also means that for Sydney bartenders — heck, even out of town bartenders in Sydney for comps — now have a reliable source of quality glassware at the last minute, and hence, no lengthy delays waiting for your online order to arrive.
