More than 100 independent spirits bottlings from 26 suppliers greeted hundreds of Perth’s most passionate spirits enthusiasts when Indie Spirits Tasting Perth rolled into town last Wednesday night.
Over 340 trade and consumers attended the event, held at The Flour Factory in the Perth CBD for what was the biggest showing of indie spirits to be held in Perth.
“It was such an engaging event,” says Long Chim’s James Connolly, “for suppliers, bartenders and spirits enthusiasts. The turnout was huge, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.”
Not only did they sample great hooch at the tasting tables, they also attended jam-packed panel discussions and seminars on topics as varied as whiskey as an investment strategy, the explosion of the craft gin category, and an in depth discussion on the use of native Australian botanicals in spirits.
Take a look at the socials and shots from the event below. The team here wants to say big thanks to Andy Freeman, Simon Hough, and the crew from The Flour Factory for hosting us — they did a stellar job!
Our next stop: Indie Spirits Tasting heads back to Brisbane and Lefty’s Oldtime Music Hall on Sunday 28 May. You can grab early bird tickets through the Eventbrite page now — just click here.
