Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned Week is back this November with some of the best bars across Australia serving up innovative, original, premium and daringly different Old Fashioned cocktails in celebration. It’s a chance for both new and discerning Old Fashioned connoisseurs to be treated to pure, old-fashioned fun and flavours at Woodford Reserve’s favourite bars in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, and Brisbane from 1 – 10 November.
Woodford Reserve’s award-winning American whiskey boasts a taste profile of more than 200 flavours, providing bartenders with the ideal base to create the perfect concoction to celebrate this classic cocktail. In Sydney, the 2019 bar manager of the year, Evan Stroeve of Bulletin Place reckons ‘Life is Peach’ with his peach flavoured and bee-inspired Woodford Reserve concoction. The elusive Door Knock requires you to knock three times on the brass pineapple and wait but ‘The Carrot Whispers’ Old Fashioned is worth the secrecy with its carrot and cardamom honey flavours. - 2 oz. Woodford Reserve
- 1/2 oz. Demerara Syrup
- 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2 Dashes Regan’s Orange Bitters
Add ingredients to the mixing glass. Add ice to mixing glass and serving glass. Stir ingredients for 30-40 secs. Strain into serving glass. Garnish with a lightly expressed orange peel.
