Gorgeous George gets into the Tequila game

Not many producers launch a tequila and get featured in the esteemed pages of Vanity Fair. In fact, we’re pretty sure not even one has before. But those nobodies before weren’t handsome George Clooney, were they?

Drink up for Parched March 2013

Bars, dogs, drinks and a month of good times for a good cause: Parched March has kicked off for its fourth year. Once again, Sydney’s bars have whole-heartedly supported the city’s annual charity bar odyssey, joining long-time supporters such as The Keystone Group and Hugo’s.

Perryn Collier working on two new Brisbane bars

It looks as though there is a bonafide boom taking place in Brisbane bars in recent months. Not only has Kal Moore left Laneway to go on to a bigger role, so too has his one-time drinks partner, Perryn Collier. He is now with the Limes Group, taking on the role of creative bar director for the group.

Drinks Fest finishes up but Bar Week lives on!

After thinking long and hard, I have made the decision to bring to a close the Drinks Fest exhibition side of this year’s Sydney Bar Week. Sydney Bar Week will continue with our amazing trade parties and the influential Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards.

The Collins, Adelaide: First Look

With new bar legislation looking like it will come into effect in March, Adelaide looks set to become the next Australian cocktail destination. Looking to lead that charge is The Collins, the new bar opening soon at the Hilton, smack bang in the middle of the city. We got a look at the bar last week and were impressed with what we saw — the decor is sharp and the back bar is taking shape.
