Five finals down, and one remaining, all in the quest to find the 12 finalists who will proceed to the Grand Finals.

The PERFECT BLEND 2018 NSW State Final took place on Monday night at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney’s Surry Hills.

With 250 industry supporters in the crowd and 12 extraordinarily talented finalists from NSW that took to the stage, it really demonstrated the community and camaraderie of our industry.

Four bartenders competed in the Apprentice category, and eight competed in the Professional category, all vying for that spot at the Grand Final with the further chance to win a bartender’s trip of a lifetime: heading to the home of Bourbon, Kentucky USA to visit the Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark distilleries, before heading across to Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans.

During competition day the finalists were put through their paces to complete a blind tasting, a product knowledge test and then the live performance in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
