This month, Bombay Sapphire Premium London Dry Gin is set to launch The Bombay Sapphire x MCA Pop-Up Bar on the Museum’s rooftop Sculpture Terrace, immersing guests in a multi-sensory experience of light and projections during Vivid Sydney (25 May-16 June).
Kicking off on Vivid’s opening night with MCA’s ARTBAR on 25 May, the collaborative pop-up will be open 5-9pm for nine exclusive Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights, including for World Gin Day on 9 June.
Guests will be plunged into the luminescent world of Bombay Sapphire, taking in the spectacular light installations on the Sydney harbour and mesmerising projections on the MCA façade by artist Jonny Niesche, all whilst enjoying the latest and greatest cocktails served in LED-lit glasses, as well as the first hot gin cocktail offering from the brand, named the Winter Warmer in Laverstoke. The space will no doubt be the ultimate Instagram playground this winter.
Introducing Australia to the emerging drinks trend of the UK and Europe, this exciting new offer from Bombay Sapphire, is perfectly timed as the temperatures drop. Simmering all the ingredients over a low heat, The Winter Warmer in Laverstoke will be served in an elegant tea cup and saucer, celebrating a blend of ginger, chocolate butter and Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino Vermouth.
Bombay Sapphire Brand Ambassador Peter Hollands said, ‘Hot Gin is a popular trend dating back to the 18th century, and such a versatile drink for however you want to spend your winter nights – whether it’s escaping the cold on a night out or during a night in on the sofa. The warmth will transport you to sitting in front of a warm fire on a cold London night out”.
“The hot temperature of the drink accentuates the botanicals and provides a greater depth, perfect to enjoy while Sydney’s temperatures drop this winter. I’m really looking forward to seeing how the Sydney crowd responds to this innovative drink offering,” Hollands continued.
Adding to the immersive experience, guests will be able to pick their own garnishes from a vertical garden. Additional drinks on the cocktail list include three unique G&T Twists, The Barbershop Negroni and a Chocolate & Roses Negroni served in LED-lit glasses.
