A good bar is nothing without the people who work there — you can have an incredible bar experience in an otherwise drab environment provided that the bar team is great.

The finalists for the 19th Annual Bartender Magazine Australian Bar Awards will be announced soon, when the July issue lands in bars, and ahead of that we’re unveiling the finalists in a few award categories.

So far we’ve announced the best whisky bars in Australia, the best rum bars listed for the Rum Bar of the Year Award, and the best tequila bars up for the Tequila Bar of the Year.

But today we’re talking about the best bar teams in the country — here’s the finalists for Bar Team of the Year at the Bar Awards.

The Bar Awards takes place on Tuesday the 17th of September this year during Bar Week, and is just one of the many great events in store for Sydney Bar Week this year, taking place from the 14th to the 18th of September — click here to visit barweek.com.au and check out the full timetable. There’s some 35-odd events happening over the five days, with RSVPs for some events open now. RSVP ASAP to make sure you don’t miss out.

And if you’re one of the finalists, you can book your tickets now — just click here.

Take a look at the finalists below.

A good bar crew is all about working hard till the last glass is washed and helping your fellow staff when they’re down. You can tell when a bar team wants to be at work and it rubs off on the customers — they want to be there too.
