The IDEA LAB has now closed!
A new platform was created by The Blend Australia (as a result of COVID 19), offering multiple grants of up to $20,000 to hospitality workers, venues or industry teams with the best ideas to grow, support, rebuild and innovate our industry!
With submissions closed, the extensive judging panel were put to work, and now the shortlisted finalists can finally be revealed.

A huge congratulations to those who made the shortlist! The next stage will commence with each individual or group being allocated a mentor, of whom The Blend partners with for their education program The Blends of the VIRTUAL World.
Both local and global mentors include Sam Egerton, Stefano Catino, Joe Schofield, Luke Whearty, Ago Perrone and Giorgio Bargiani. The ideas will undergo coaching/mentoring sessions- 1:1 and in their respective mentor groups. Each individual or team will be prepared to ‘TAKE THE STAGE’ in front of the judges for the next round!
We want to send our biggest of thank yous to each idea that was submitted! Each idea had to submit an extensive questionnaire, and it was incredible to see the creative and magical minds of our industry!
