Tales of the Cocktail’s annual Spirited Awards returned last night to celebrate its 16th year and it was a successful night for bars and bartenders the world over.
In the unforgettable ceremony, the critically acclaimed Lyaness from Ryan Chetiyawardana was awarded World’s Best Bar, Tayer + Elementary from award-winning duo Alex Kratena and Monica Berg took home Best International Cocktail Bar, whilst A Bar with Shapes for a Name was awarded Best New International Cocktail Bar.
From an Aussie perspective, Sydney’s Maybe Sammy won International Bar Team while one of it’s owners Martin Hudak won Best International Brand Ambassador for Mr Black. Katana Kitten, New York Best U.S. Bar Team and Best U.S. Cocktail Bar, as well as Washington’s Silver Lyan winning Best U.S. Hotel Bar.
