This delightful neighbourhood bar is housed in the unassuming two-story venue that once was home to The Patch Theatre opened by Edward and Ida Beeby in the 1930s.
The ground floor has been restored to uncover the original features of the 100-year-old ceiling, like an ornate pressed tin ceiling and hardwood floors. Antique alcohol signage decorates the walls, with the venue oozing all sorts of vintage charm to entice locals to the new watering hole. Fit for a range of uses guests can pull up a stool at the long wood bar, gather around a high table with friends, or cozy up with someone special next to the fireplace in the brick courtyard hidden away from the main road.

Accompanying Young in the kitchen will be Sous Chef Cassi Garrett who brings her expertise from the Margaret River and is already well-versed in the world of booze-friendly bites. For fans of Nieuw Ruin’s iconic pies, the menu will feature three rotating pies, alongside updated pub classics.
The underground part of the venue has been transformed from a burlesque room into Ida’s Cocktail Den. The walls are lined with thousands of mini booze bottles, vintage taxidermy and interesting bar paraphernalia, alleviating any possible awkward first date talk.
The late-night drinking offering will echo the modern flavours and classic cocktail methodology created by the award-winning team at Foxtrot Unicorn. Perth locals are encouraged to enjoy a drink amongst the staff of passionate hospitality veterans.
