Hickson House Distilling Co is the latest, much anticipated venture from Mikey Enright and Julian Train, the team behind The Barber Shop and The Duke of Clarence, joined by distiller Tim Stones (ex-Manly Spirits).
Created by food and drink identities Duncan Welgemoed (Africola), Mike Bennie (P+V Merchants) and Tamrah Petruzzelli (Super Assembly), the national awards show is ready to shake things up again and simply reward excellence in beverage creation.
Undoubtedly one could classify vodka as a ‘beginner’s spirit’, reserved for the days of underage drinking- but the versatility alone should give us pause to reconsider what this ‘spirit without distinctive character, aroma or taste’ can bring to the table.
